Chapter Lead for Back Office Development

Lead a 15-person engineering chapter modernizing Swift's critical financial services platform across Pega, APIs, CI/CD, and emerging AI technologies.
As part of the Business Applications Services (BAS) Tribe, our mission is to deliver and continuously enhance Swift’s Ordering, Billing, Finance, and Provisioning services while evolving our on-premises and cloud technology landscape. Building on several years of transformation, we are accelerating the consolidation and modernization of our delivery model and are seeking an experienced Chapter Lead to lead a development Chapter focused on Pega, User interfaces , Integration, CI/CD, APIs, and Agentic AI.
Reporting to a member of the Tribe Leadership Team and working closely with Product Owners, Business Leads, Architects, Testers, and System Engineers, you will lead and develop a Chapter of 15 headcount software engineers and subject matter experts. You will be responsible for coordinating and upskilling Chapter members, contributing to the successful delivery of business initiatives, and ensuring alignment with governance, security, operational KPIs, and delivery processes.
A key aspect of the role is fostering a high-performing engineering culture through coaching, mentoring, and continuous development of your team members. Leveraging your solid technical background and development experience, you will guide engineering practices, promote innovation, and ensure effective collaboration and communication with both internal and external stakeholders. You will join an Engineering organization within a diverse Tribe of more than 170 enthusiastic professionals across Belgium and Malaysia.
