Clinical Laboratory Technician

Position Summary: Illumina Laboratory Services (ILS) is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our Singapore-based clinical genomics laboratory. This is a hands-on, laboratory-based role at the cutting edge of clinical genomics, supporting the delivery of high-quality genomic testing to patients across the region.

In this role, you will perform a range of laboratory techniques in compliance with ISO 15189 quality standards, including DNA extraction, DNA quantification, library preparation, and next-generation sequencing using the NovaSeq X Plus platform. You will work with a combination of automated workflows (e.g., Hamilton STAR systems) and manual bench-top assays, gaining broad exposure to modern clinical laboratory operations. You will also play an important role in maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.

This is an intermediate-level position suited to an individual with established laboratory experience who can independently perform assigned workflows following completion of training and competency assessment. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate strong technical discipline, sound judgement and ownership of their work, and who understand the real-world impact of delivering accurate and timely genomic results. Your contributions will directly support patients and clinicians seeking answers through genetic testing.
