THE POSITION:
The Data Security Engineer monitors and manages database security and auditing solutions, adapts and improves security and compliance controls to different organizations and database implementations, and acts as a proactive, trusted advisor to enterprises.
MAIN SKILLS:
Demonstrated proficiency with relational database technologies using SQL Experience with database monitoring (such as security, auditing, performance, uptime, etc...) Experience with supporting technologies that interact with databases (OS, networking, scripting, etc...) Experience applying security controls and/or compliance mandates to database implementations Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences Experience with incident response, such as investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues while under time constraints or pressure
ALSO DESIRABLE:
Knowledge of big data (Hadoop) Knowledge of mainframe (DB2 on zOS) Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and/or cloud database-as-a-service (Amazon RDS, Azure Cloud SQL) Security or compliance related certifications Knowledge of the following products:
