Description of Work This position is located at the Division of Disability Determination Services (DDS) at the Department of Health and Human Services in Raleigh, N.C. This agency makes medical entitlement decisions on Social Security, Supplemental Security Income and Medicaid Disability claims.

The Case Processing Supervisor II must possess superior skills in development and adjudication of Social Security and have excellent leadership skills that enable him/her to direct others in the adjudication of claims.

The Supervisor II must be very familiar with the case adjudication requirements and must apply knowledge and skills base in the daily oversight and monitoring of the work of Disability Determination Specialist Is, IIs and IIIs, Medical and Psychological Consultants, Case Consultants and Office Assistants. The Supervisor II is responsible for the daily operations of a processing unit as well directing training of unit staff, interviewing for agency and unit employees and staff performance reviews, etc. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $60,881 - $106,544
