Engineering Manager - Secure Access

Lead a Secure Access team spanning on-premises VMware infrastructure and GCP cloud workloads, balancing reliability for existing customers with new feature delivery.
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Secure Access team. The platform operates primarily on-premise, with one component residing in the cloud. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with engineering leadership experience who can work across infrastructure and application development while balancing reliability for existing customers with the delivery of new features.
In this role, you will lead a team of Software and Platform Engineers responsible for the Secure Access application throughout its lifecycle, including its integration with our on-premises and cloud environments. You will set the technical direction, manage priorities and delivery, and mentor engineers across both disciplines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- At least three years of direct engineering management experience
- At least five years of hands-on experience in platform, infrastructure, or software engineering
- Experience managing virtualized on-premises infrastructure, particularly VMware vSphere/ESXi
- Experience with VDI or remote-access infrastructure
- Experience deploying and operating workloads on a major cloud platform, preferably GCP
- Working knowledge of Linux administration, containers, and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to break down a product vision into workable engineering tasks
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to nontechnical stakeholders
- Experience with networking technologies, including VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and DNS
- Experience extending or migrating on-premises workloads to GCP
- Experience with automation tools, such as Terraform and Ansible
- Experience working in regulated or security-sensitive environments, including FedRAMP, CMMC, or SOC 2
- Knowledge of identity and access management protocols, including SSO, OIDC, and SAML
