About the position
The FAB Support Specialist provides comprehensive FAB support and system maintenance in a manufacturing and technical environment. The role helps ensure the smooth operation of critical systems and equipment through user support, software management, troubleshooting, and collaboration with FAB Operations. Off-hours support is provided on a rotational basis.
Responsibilities
Provide first-line support by triaging and resolving service tickets.Set up and maintain backups for tool computers.Set up and configure new operator computer stations in the FAB.Install and troubleshoot printers.Manage and track renewals for third-party licensed software.Install software programs on user laptops as required.Diagnose and resolve issues related to tool data loading and system connectivity.Troubleshoot and restore functionality for monitors and alarms.Configure and maintain virtual machines as needed.Attend morning FAB Operations meetings to identify and address potential issues and operational impacts.Provide rotational off-hours support to maintain critical systems and services and help troubleshoot issues as required.Requirements
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.Experience with printer installation, configuration, and maintenance.Experience with Windows networking, Windows domains, DNS settings, Active Directory, and Linux systems.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with users and FAB teams.Nice-to-haves
Ability to configure Jenkins for MES and .NET application builds.Ability to create workspaces for Java/Tomcat server environments.Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and Linux.Programming experience, particularly with Java, JSP, Servlet, JavaScript, and Bash/Linux scripting.SPC chart creation experience (a big plus).
