Description of Work The Home Life Support Assistant (HLSA) is a Certified Nursing Assistant I (CNA I) responsible for daily care coverage on C-Shift within an assigned Group Home. In addition to direct care, the HLSA assists the Floor Shift Nurse Supervisor (FSNS) with basic daily operations, supply management, and shift scheduling. The home serves older adults with complex medical conditions, neurocognitive disorders, intellectual deficits, and significant mobility needs.
Responsibilities Include:
- Resident Care & Coverage: Provide daily care coverage on C-Shift for older adults with complex medical, neurocognitive, and developmental needs, many of whom are non-ambulatory.
- Supply & Inventory Management: Order resident grooming supplies, bed linens, bath towels, and washcloths. Lead the procurement of resident clothing.
- Shift Coordination: Develop tentative monthly work schedules and suggest daily coverage adjustments to the FSNS during staff call-ins.
- Operations & Safety: Assist the FSNS with daily operational tasks and monitor the home to maintain strict safety and sanitation standards.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Grade: $32,444 - $48,665
A Sign-on Bonus of $2,500 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) of this posting, contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval.
