The Apple Machine Translation team is building groundbreaking technology that enables connecting people across language barriers. We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineering Manager to lead the QE team owning the test strategy for Apple’s Translation and Machine Intelligence products.
Description: Apple's Machine Translation is embedded into several products across the iOS, iPadOS, macOS and watchOS ecosystems: from Live Translation and Translate App that is used to communicate across different languages, to Safari full webpage translation, to system-wide translation that allows you to quickly translate any highlighted text into numerous languages.
In this role, you’ll be directly responsible for defining Machine Translation’s test strategy, qualifying the client, server, and model releases. You’ll work closely with client engineering, cross-functional partners, and stakeholders to deliver the automation and test processes needed to ensure we deliver highest-quality translation services.
Key Responsibilities: Lead a team of high-performing SDETs and Quality Engineers to validate functionality, performance and accuracy across Apple’s hardware ecosystem Participate in defining testing strategies and methodologies to enhance overall software quality Collaborate closely with developers, engineering program managers, and partner QA teams to comprehend feature requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage Collaborate closely with developers, engineering program managers, and partner QA teams to comprehend feature requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
