Power Supply Test Engineer

Supermicro is seeking a Power Supply Test Engineer to join the power supply team in our HQ located in San Jose, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
- Create and perform test plans for failure power supply and generate failure analysis reports of power supply
- Help to Inspect power supply and review SOP of system operation in production line
- Maintain documents and statistic for failure component, system configuration and related information
- Review production test data of power supply to improve product quality and yield
- Server system level and power supply level troubleshooting
- Support Power supply PM to monitor / rework certain power supply project in production line
- Support production line to verify suspected power supply in time and provide alternative solution to production line staffs
- Support power team RD to collect testing data of certain project with systems
- Support power team QA to verify quality issue of project in production line in time
- Operate system and power supply testing equipment and oscilloscopes
- Work with cross-functional teams for system production and assist in product development
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 2+ years of technical knowledge in the field of power electronics, power supplies, and server systems preferred
- Proficiency with power supply test and measurement equipment
- Must have strong troubleshooting skills
- Soldering skills are preferred
- Have solid communications skills both verbal and written
