Coordinate the Pandemic Preparedness Engine for Disease X, an agentic AI modeling system for emerging infectious disease threats, at Argonne National Laboratory.
Argonne National Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated Technical Project Coordinator to support the development of an agentic modeling framework for complex scientific and national security challenges. Working at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI), computational modeling, and biosecurity, the successful candidate will coordinate technical and project activities across a multidisciplinary team of computer scientists and researchers. A key focus of this role will be supporting the development of the Pandemic Preparedness Engine for Disease X , an agentic system integrating AI-driven modeling and predictive capabilities to advance preparedness for emerging infectious disease threats.
The Technical Project Coordinator will support project execution, monitor research milestones, communicate progress and risks, and assist with the implementation of established biosecurity safeguards and risk-mitigation strategies. Working under the guidance of project leadership and subject-matter experts, this individual will help facilitate collaboration, maintain project documentation, and support the responsible development and deployment of advanced AI systems for biosecurity applications.
