QA Automation Lead

We're looking for a QA Automation Lead to join us at Telia Lithuania.

I'm Tadas Vaskela, Head of Enterprise Delivery, and I'm searching for someone who wants to help shape the future of test automation at Telia. We are looking for a hands-on QA Automation Lead who will define how test automation is built and scaled across Telia Lithuania. You will set the technical direction, establish common Playwright-based practices, and work directly with teams to build frameworks, reusable components and automated tests. This is not a people-management role. It is a technical leadership position for someone who enjoys coding, solving automation challenges and influencing engineering practices across multiple teams.

What you’ll do:

• Define and continuously improve Telia's test automation strategy, standards, and governance.
• Lead the adoption of Playwright-based automation frameworks and reusable testing practices across teams.
• Actively contribute to automation development by building proof-of-concepts, reusable components, framework improvements, and automated test suites.
• Expand regression automation coverage and support teams in identifying critical business journeys suitable for automation.
• Help integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
• Coach and support QA engineers and developers through code reviews, pair programming, troubleshooting, and practical implementation guidance.
• Define and track automation and quality metrics, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvements.
