Quality Engineering Technician, Cybercab, Field Data

The Quality Engineering Technician will work closely with Quality Engineering to provide reports, charts, graphs, and anything else needed to define, measure, analyze, improve and control product and process quality from their respective shops.

The successful candidate must have mechanical aptitude, the ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail oriented, and be able to both take direction and work independently.

Review, investigate and analyze field quality concerns to determine root cause of problems, and implement and sustain corrective actions and long-term countermeasuresWork closely with Manufacturing, Process and Field Service Engineering teams to establish and sustain robust processes and procedures, which ensure consistent high qualitySupport new product launches, continuous improvement and troubleshooting in both production and field environmentsAudit manufacturing facility against approved manufacturing processes, procedures and requirements to anticipate potential problemsLead and co-ordinate containment and sorting activities as neededMaintain quality performance metrics, support risk assessment, and drive issues to resolutionDevelop, maintain and update quality documentation and work instructions as needed1 or more years of experience in a Manufacturing, Quality, or Process focused roleStrong mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting skillsMechanical inspection experience using basic and precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc.)Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings, understanding of fundamentals of GD&T highly desiredExperience writing work instructions highly desired, knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices highly desiredAbility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ability to lift and sort parts of up to 30 pounds as neededAbility to operate Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointEssential Physical Demands
