Senior Backend Engineer, Cloud Platform

ClickUp's Cloud Platform team builds scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AWS infrastructure, with a heavy focus on Amazon EKS, that stays ahead of product and enterprise growth. Our goal: product velocity is never blocked by platform constraints. As a Senior Software Engineer, you leverage AI to design, build, and operate the compute, networking, and infrastructure-as-code foundation that powers ClickUp for millions of users.

• Build and scale AWS infrastructure and reusable platform abstractions that simplify development, with a strong focus on Amazon EKS, networking, and self-hosted services.
• Identify improvement opportunities and emerging risks, and propose novel solutions that improve reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency before constraints become blockers.
• Automate shard buildouts and implement Terraform guardrails and hardened ingress that reduce incidents.
• Scale systems for multi-shard, multi-region growth while meeting compliance attestations (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc), disaster recovery, and enterprise security requirements.
• Partner with SRE, Security, product, AI, and enterprise teams to bridge infrastructure and product engineering.
• Own the reliability of Cloud Platform itself: on-call, incident response, postmortems, runbooks, and prevention.
• Use AI tooling daily to accelerate development, testing, IaC, operations, and investigations, and help the team raise its AI leverage.
