Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, Game Records

Discord has a highly engaged community of millions of daily active users who use the platform for many different reasons, but there’s one thing that nearly everyone does: play video games. Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming, and we are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to hang out before, during, and after playing games.

Discord is used by over 200 million people every month for many different reasons, but there’s one thing that nearly everyone does on our platform: play video games. Over 90% of our users play games, spending a combined 1.5 billion hours playing thousands of unique titles on Discord each month. Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming. We are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to talk and hang out before, during, and after playing games.

Game Records are the core of our gaming conversation. It is the fuel that drives the most popular gaming features on Discord, and allows us to unlock new experiences for users and opportunities for game developers. The Game Records team is directly responsible for “source of truth” systems that drive detection and safeguard metadata for hundreds of thousands of games. This puts our team in a position to consult and participate in some of the biggest features, partnerships and game-related launches at Discord. Our engineering culture values collaboration, and this is exactly how this team works. Come and join us!
