Senior Security Engineer, Customer Service Security

Want to change how security works at Amazon scale? Customer Service Application Security protects customer data for one of Amazon's largest businesses, and we're building intelligent automation that makes security a built-in part of how teams ship.

As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll be the embedded security lead on our biggest, most complex initiatives. You'll work with engineering teams from first design to launch, owning security assurance through threat modeling, security investigations and control testing. You'll give teams and leaders confidence that what they ship is secure. Then you'll go further, turning key findings into guardrails, paved paths and automation that eliminate whole classes of vulnerabilities across the business unit, so builders get secure systems by default.

This is a senior role with real influence. You'll take on problems with no playbook, where the business goal is clear but the technical strategy isn't, and you'll define the approach. You'll set the technical bar by reviewing other security engineers' and SDEs' designs and code to make sure they're secure, extensible and easy to adopt. You'll lead high-stakes escalations to closure with senior managers and principal engineers. You'll strengthen how teams operate, from alarms and runbooks to COEs.

Your impact will go beyond code. You'll champion secure coding standards, improve processes and build a security culture across development teams. You'll help shape the team's long-term strategy, mentor engineers and hire the people who grow this team.
