Architect cloud-native, event-driven microservices for CVS Health member experiences while shaping technical direction and exploring emerging AI in software development.
Position Summary The Senior Software Development Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of innovative digital solutions that power exceptional member experiences. In this role, you will leverage advanced technical expertise to architect and build cloud-native, microservices-based applications with a strong emphasis on event-driven architecture, modern technology stacks, and emerging AI technologies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Digital, Data and Analytics, and Platform Engineering to drive innovation and shape the overall technical direction of our digital engineering initiatives.
This position also involves contributing to technical direction, mentoring peers, and partnering with architects and product teams to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who takes ownership of the full software lifecycle - from design through deployment and operations - and brings a collaborative, problem-solving mindset to every challenge.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with Node.js, JavaScript, Spring Boot and TypeScript
- 3+ years of experience building and deploying cloud-based solutions (GCP, AWS or Azure)
- 2+ years of experience with one of the following front end technologies: Angular, Flutter or React
- 2+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices-based applications, ensuring scalability and maintainability
