Senior Software Engineer - Engineering Enablement (SRE Focus)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (SRE Focus) to join our Engineering Enablement team and drive company-wide developer productivity. You will build and evolve internal platforms, services, and toolchains that power engineering workflows across Motional.

In this role, you will partner closely with teams across the organization to enhance the reliability, performance, and scalability of our infrastructure platforms, effectively manage complex business-critical systems and deliver high-quality service to internal customers. You will join a talented team of developers and work closely with teams to move from code to production with speed and confidence.

Your primary focus will be our internal developer platform and productivity tooling, enabling engineers to ship reliable, high-quality code faster and more efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Build scalable backend services, CI/CD pipelines, build systems, toolchains and platforms that can support developer workflows
• Improve system reliability, performance, scalability, and observability across distributed systems by introducing new tools and/or building new features
• Partner with other engineering teams to analyze and optimize AWS spend by implementing cost-effective strategies and identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements in cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance and health, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact users
• Contribute to system architecture decisions and technical roadmaps
