Build closed-loop flight simulations using real drone telemetry to validate autonomy and accelerate Wing's scaling in the drone delivery industry.
Wing is looking for a Simulation Engineer Intern to join our Simulation & Evaluation Team based in Palo Alto, CA .
Our team develops tools that enable engineers to develop, test and deploy features efficiently and at scale. Our work spans vehicle physics and sensor modeling, large-scale simulation frameworks, test infrastructure for backend verification, integrated avionics and system testing, and foundational ML technologies such as world-modelling, 3D reconstruction and sim2real. Our team is dedicated to ensuring simulation is the fastest and most reliable way to test changes to our system and to enable safer and faster feature development.
The successful candidate is able to demonstrate adeptness at software development, system modeling and simulation, 3D geometry, and RL techniques. We are looking for individuals with strong written and verbal communication skills who thrive collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, spanning Simulation, Perception, and GNC, and who can tackle complex, open-ended engineering problems.
