Software Engineer – Professional Practice Contract

Madrid Office, hybrid (3 days per week in the office)

This is an entry-level role under a 6-month Spanish contrato formativo para la obtención de la práctica profesional (training contract for professional practice). It’s designed for recent graduates who want their first real software engineering experience in a product team shipping to production. At the end of the 6 months, depending on performance and business needs, there is an opportunity to join the team on a permanent contract.

From day one you’ll have:

• A dedicated mentor from the team who meets with you regularly and guides your growth.
• An Individual Training Plan with a clear month-by-month path: you start by learning our product, codebase and practices, move on to supervised tasks, and finish by owning features end to end.
• A mid-term and a final review to track your progress, and a certificate of professional practice when the contract ends.
• Build, test and ship backend features in TypeScript/Node.js (and some Python) running on AWS.
• Write clean, tested and maintainable code, and take part in code reviews.
• Learn to monitor and operate services in production: logs, metrics, alerts and incident follow-up.
• Work with product managers, designers and engineers to understand the problems our users face.
• Get hands-on with AI/LLM-powered features in a real production setting.
• By the end of the program, own a feature end to end, from design to production.
