Staff Product Designer, Marketplace Trust

What’s the role? The Marketplace Trust team is focused on creating a world where people can shop and sell with trust, and where every transaction is a positive experience. As a Staff Product Designer on this team, you will be responsible for creating thorough, polished and intuitive designs for a complex problem space. You will work closely with your partners across Product, User Research, and Analytics to spot the customer problems and define high-craft customer solutions. This position will blend creative and strategic skills, balancing multiple projects in an experimentation-first environment.

In this high visibility role, you will support across the major functional surfaces of our buyer experience: cart, checkout, and post-purchase order management. Keeping Etsy checkout modern and frictionless is critical since literally every purchase flows through checkout. And the quality of the post-transaction experience has the potential to make or break buyers’ interest in making another Etsy purchase.

This is a full-time position reporting to our Senior Design Manager.

What’s this team like at Etsy? Product designers at Etsy work in a squad alongside a product manager, 4-6 engineers, a researcher and a data analyst. Together they drive their own part of the Etsy customer experience by delivering solutions to problems and getting feedback directly from customers.
