Role Overview: We are seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to join our Systems Integration team in the SF Bay Area. Systems integration lives at the boundaries between functions, evaluating both intended and unintended emergent behaviors of our systems. In this role you will own the integration of an assigned robotic subsystem from planning through bring-up and hand-off. You will independently drive root cause analysis within your scope and deliver trusted configurations and documentation to partner teams. You will also help evolve the tools and processes the team uses to integrate more effectively and efficiently.
Integration Planning
- Author integration plans for your assigned subsystem, defining integration phases, functional tests, and needed integration tooling.
- Review design inputs such as requirements and ICDs to identify integration risks and gaps before hardware arrives.
- Track integration work and status so partners and leads have a clear view of progress.
System Bring-Up & Integration
- Independently execute bring-up of new subsystems and support integration into full humanoid robotic systems.
- Verify hardware/software interfaces and run functional tests to confirm correct operation, watching for unintended emergent behaviors.
- Identify and document tested configurations, and commission functional assets for delivery to internal customers.
- Capture integration results and residual risks in clear, actionable reports.
