Undergraduate Med-Surg Faculty Position

Job OverviewJefferson College of Nursing is seeking qualified applicants with experience in medical-surgical nursing to join our team. This full‑time, 12‑month faculty position is part of the Undergraduate Program, based at our Dixon Campus in Horsham, PA.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with faculty for course planning and projections.Identify needed resources.Oversee selection of clinical preceptors and clinical sites.Oversee student clinical placement and progression.Collaborate with the Chair of Programs, Associate Deans, Dean, and support services to achieve program outcomes.Serve as advisor and mentor for students.Participate in college meetings and committees.Engage in current practice, scholarship, and community service.QualificationsMaster’s degree in nursing required; Doctoral degree preferred.Doctoral candidates must be currently enrolled in a doctoral program.Eligibility or licensure to practice professional nursing in Pennsylvania.Medical‑surgical nursing experience required.Previous teaching experience preferred.Knowledge and skills related to innovative teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and student support.Ability to utilize contemporary and innovative teaching methodologies in classroom, laboratory/simulation, and clinical settings.Demonstrated evidence of ongoing clinical competency and participation in professional activities related to area of clinical expertise.Ability to participate in scholarly activities and recruitment activities of the College and University.BenefitsThis is a salaried position with a generous benefit and retirement program.
