The ODDS’s Data Engineering Team is seeking a Data Engineer to lead the development of data products and infrastructure that support decision science solutions across Delta’s operations. In this role, you will work closely with data scientists and engineers to design and build batch and near real-time data pipelines, analytical data assets, and scalable systems that drive performance improvements and enhance operational decision-making across the airline.
This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with a strong engineering foundation and an analytical mindset. The ideal individual excels in stakeholder communication, demonstrates a passion for integrating data from diverse sources, and is skilled at transforming complex data into actionable insights while optimizing large-scale systems in a dynamic, high-impact environment.
Primary Functions:
Design and implement data engineering solutions by leveraging emerging technologies to efficiently locate, extract, and transform data from diverse sources for reporting, analysis, and statistical modeling—driving continuous business improvement.
Execute unit tests and validate outcomes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data and applications through comprehensive data validation, in-depth analysis, and precise coding practices.
