Data engineer

Location: Bucharest, Romania This role is part of a large-scale SAP ECC6 to S/4HANA migration program for a major international organization. As a core member of a dedicated Data Migration Squad, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the transformation and loading pipelines that sit at the heart of the migration delivery. You will work closely with the Technical Lead and your fellow data engineers to ensure that data flows reliably, accurately, and on time from the source ECC6 environment to the target S/4HANA platform.

WHO ARE YOU? You have solid hands-on experience designing and building ETL pipelines in complex data environments? You are comfortable working with large volumes of heterogeneous data, and you know how to handle edge cases, rejections, and transformation complexity? You are rigorous and detail-oriented — you care about the quality of what you deliver, not just whether it runs? You enjoy working in a team, sharing knowledge, and improving practices collectively? You are curious about SAP data landscapes, or already have some exposure to them? Then this role is made for you. WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER You will join a dedicated squad of 4 data professionals, embedded within a broader SAP program team. You will work in close collaboration with the Technical Lead and contribute to the delivery of migration pipelines across all in-scope data objects, in an agile delivery mode with iterative development and regular validation cycles.
