Blue Origin is pioneering the future of space-based communications with TeraWave, a revolutionary satellite communications network designed to deliver symmetrical data speeds of up to 6 Tbps anywhere on Earth. This multi-orbit constellation will consist of optically interconnected satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) and medium Earth orbit (MEO), providing enterprise-grade connectivity for critical operations worldwide.
Blue Origin is seeking an EGSE Electrical Engineer to join the AI&T team on the Terawave program. In this role you will design and verify EGSE electrical hardware — interface boards, cable harnesses, and breakout assemblies — develop and maintain electrical schematics and ICDs, and support the transition of EGSE hardware designs to the production line.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design EGSE electrical hardware components: interface boards, cable harnesses, breakout assemblies, and signal conditioning circuits.
- Develop and maintain EGSE electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, connector pinouts, and interface control documents (ICDs).
- Verify signal integrity, power distribution, and grounding/shielding compliance of EGSE hardware; support acceptance testing.
- Provide DFM and DFT inputs on EGSE hardware: test point access, connector accessibility, and mate/demate cycle life.
- Support EMI/EMC requirements compliance review and EGSE EMI characterization.
- Support PCB layout and cable harness design reviews before release to fabrication.
- Support transition of EGSE electrical designs to production line ground support equipment.
- Interface with VTB Electrical Integration and Electrical Test teams on hardware interface requirements.
- Maintain EGSE electrical documentation and BOM accuracy.
