We are looking for a design engineer with experience in flight vehicle fluid systems to act as a Cognizant Engineer (CogE), supporting the development and delivery of a New Glenn upper stage. As CogE, you will own the complete definition, design, development, cost, manufacturability, and delivery of flight hardware. Knowledge of component design, CAD modelling, aerospace materials, sealing, bolted joints, stress analysis, drawing creation, GD&T, engineering release systems, manufacturing methods, part inspection and non-conformance management, assembly practices, and vendor management are needed. You will be expected to collaborate with a team of cross-functional engineers and other designers to deliver fully developed and qualified designs integrated into the first launch vehicle.
A large part of the challenge in this role will be to deliver simple, low-cost designs that fully meet the functional requirements of the fluid system. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.
