Sensors-based technology has a wide range of applications including navigation, gaming, smart user interface, multimedia, virtual reality and augmented reality. This challenging position offers the opportunity to design state-of-the-art algorithms for leading edge solutions in smartphones, automotive, IOT, smartwatches as many other consumer electronics devices. Job activities span the whole product life cycle from early R&D to commercial deployment. The successful candidate will work with systems, software, and integration/test engineers in the QCT sensors group

Job responsibilities include:

• Develop state-of-the-art algorithms for single and multi-sensor fusion using ML/AI techniques. Typical development flow uses high level languages like MATLAB and Python.
• Create reports on algorithm evaluation, validation, benchmarking and delivering complete design and user documentation.
• Define strategies to analyze and collect data.
• Balance between performance, power consumption, and computational complexity.
• Work with global development and test teams.
• Software implementation in C/C++ on Qualcomm platforms

The position is technology focused and involves participation in a broad range of sensors systems engineering activities within the Sensors Technologies group

Preferred Qualifications

• Master or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related area or equivalent experience.
• Experience with using concepts in probability and statistics, supervised and unsupervised learning, feature extraction, classification, regression etc.
• Knowledge of inertial sensors or working on algorithm designs using IMUs.
• Publications in field of signal processing/AI
• Hands on experience of algorithm implementation and debugging.
