Metrology Lab Manager

• Leads, directs, maintains, and delegates the workflow of calibration lab (mechanical and electrical) and manufacturing product line activities
• Responsible for all procedures, work instructions, and forms utilized in the day-to-day operation.
• Responsible for creating/maintaining a team atmosphere through effective communication, constructive feedback, corrective actions, and incentives to perform.
• Works with the Management Team with regards to maintaining and improving the Quality Management System
• Monitor and ensure technical competence of direct reports.
• Monitor and report weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual metrics for performance management.  Including Return to Factory Turn Around Time, Out Of Tolerance reporting, and customer satisfaction.
• Assigns, directs and follows up on tasks and processes.
• Leads and enforces Continuous Process Improvement Activities with a strong emphasis on LEAN methodology, including 5S, Six Sigma, or other quality improvement methodologies.
• Maintains business controls and processes.
• Interface with engineering, product development, and quality teams to support calibration and certification projects.
• Management of departmental budget.
