Summary of Role: GlobalFoundries is seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Electrical Engineering to support Process Design Kit (PDK) design manual development for silicon photonics technology. The intern will work with engineering teams to document design rules, publish user-facing technical manuals, and develop test patterns that support design rule validation.
Essential Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the development and documentation of design rules for silicon photonics technology.
- Publish and maintain silicon photonics design manuals with clear, accurate, and consistent technical content.
- Assist in designing ground rule violation test patterns to support rule verification and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to review technical requirements, incorporate feedback, and communicate project status.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
