Summary of Role: The Staff R&D Finance Analyst is an experienced individual contributor responsible for supporting financial planning, business analysis, reporting, and operational initiatives across GlobalFoundries' R&D organization. This role partners closely with R&D leadership, Finance, HR, and cross-functional business teams to provide financial insights, operational analysis, decision support, and process improvement recommendations that enable effective resource management and execution against organizational priorities. The position plays a key role in driving financial transparency, improving business processes, developing analytics and reporting capabilities, and supporting strategic initiatives across the R&D organization.
Essential Responsibilities: Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts, long-range planning activities, and financial reporting processes.
- Analyze financial and operational performance against plan, identify key trends, and communicate insights to management.
- Develop financial models, business cases, and analytical frameworks to support decision-making.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate opportunities, risks, and resource requirements.
- Assist in preparation of management reviews, executive presentations, and business updates.
