Product Engineer - Automotive ICs (m/f/d)

Take end-to-end ownership of released automotive IC products after release, driving ramp-up of UWB and RF/LF products into high-volume production.
As an Automotive Product Engineer , you will take responsibility for released IC products within the supply chain and play an important role in bringing new products successfully into high-volume production. Working at the intersection of product engineering, quality, manufacturing, test, and operations , you will contribute your technical expertise and structured problem-solving skills to continuously improve our automotive semiconductor products.
Your Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of automotive IC products within the supply chain after product release
- Define and drive product characterization and qualification activities and document the results
- Support the ramp-up of new products , particularly in the UWB and RF/LF areas
- Track, analyze and report product performance regarding cost and quality
- Drive continuous product improvements related to cost reduction, quality enhancement and technical issues
- Lead and support operations projects , such as backend second-sourcing activities
Your Profile:
- Degree from a Technical University or University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule) in Physics, Electronics, Information and Computer Engineering or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor industry (Product Engineering or a comparable role)
- Basic understanding of statistics
- Strong project management skills
- Experience with quality management methods such as FMEA, DOE and 8D is a benefit
- Knowledge of quality engineering, IC fabrication and IC testing is an advantage
- Strong customer-oriented mindset
- AI know-how is a plus
- Structured and analytical approach to your work
- Effective and confident communication across different teams and functions
- Proficiency in English
Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.
