This position will work with cross functional teams for 800V HVDC power module design. Must have knowledge of power electronics, Si/wide band gap device field, hands-on development experience in prototype built in HV 500kHz-1MHz DC/DC converter.
Primary Job Duties:
- Circuit and module design: Designing and developing power electronic modules for 800V HVDC applications, covering schematic capture and PCB layout.
- System integration: Collaborating with other engineering teams to ensure the power module meets performance, thermal management, and cost requirements.
- Component selection: Choosing appropriate components for high-voltage circuits, considering factors like efficiency, reliability, and cost.
- Testing and validation: Performing tests and troubleshooting to ensure the power module functions as designed and meets all specifications.
Qualifications:
- M.S (Ph.D preferred) in Electrical Engineering
- Knowledgeable in power conversion topologies, power device, magnetics and control loop design
- Lab skills in using Oscilloscope, function generators and test equipment
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink, SIMetrix, Pspice/Ltspice, Ansys simulation
- Good communication skills
- Team player
