Become the finance SME for S&OP and MRP at Blue Origin, shaping how materials are forecast across business units as the company scales to rate in 2027.

This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

We are looking for an analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join the Global Supply Chain (GSC) Finance team as the finance business partner to our Manufacturing Planning & Control organization. This team runs Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) for Blue Origin. Blue Origin is moving to a single enterprise pool of inventory model as we scale to rate in 2027. Operations will own material budget and the Global Supply Chain org will own tracking and reporting on those costs. You will be the finance subject matter expert in S&OP and MRP across Blue Finance. You will help standardize how we forecast materials with our business units, and use planning data to explain how on-time delivery and changes to plan affect our financial results.

Passion for our mission and vision is required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as finance business partner to the Manufacturing Planning & Control leadership team, including financial planning for headcount and OPEX.
  • Become the finance subject matter expert in S&OP and MRP. Understand how demand, supply, and lead times flow through the system and into the financial forecast.
  • Lead a standard materials forecasting method with business unit finance teams, including how committed, planned, and not-yet-planned demand are estimated and time phased.
  • Develop trackable ways to reflect supplier delivery performance in the forecast, and measure forecast accuracy over time.
  • Build reporting for the common inventory model, including inventory levels, excess and obsolete, scrap, and shortages shifted between programs.
  • Partner with Accounting so cost allocation to programs stays compliant with government contract requirements.
