Job Description: MPS is seeking a hands‑on, technically exceptional Software Engineer to support the software strategy, architecture, and execution for our Building Automation Systems product line. The Building Automation Systems (BAS) group develops integrated hardware, firmware, and software platforms that power next‑generation commercial building controls, energy management systems, and intelligent automation technologies.
This candidate will own the full tech stack—from software, to embedded firmware and device connectivity to cloud services, data pipelines, and user‑facing applications.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high‑performance hardware‑plus‑software environments, understands real‑time control systems, and can scale a platform that integrates IoT devices, sensors, gateways, cloud analytics, and building‑level automation workflows.
You will shape the software direction of MPS’s Kinexis Smart Building Automation platform, build and mentor a world‑class engineering team, and partner closely with hardware, product, and systems engineering to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions for commercial buildings worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Own the end‑to‑end architecture of the platform ecosystem, including software, embedded firmware, device communication protocols, cloud services, data pipelines, and user applications.
- Define and enforce architectural standards for reliability, security, scalability, and long‑term maintainability.
- Drive innovation in real‑time control, sensor fusion, energy optimization algorithms, and building‑level automation logic.
- Build, mentor, and scale a high‑performing software engineering organization.
