Strategic Buyer

The Littelfuse Procurement and Category Management team is looking for a Strategic Buyer who will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for key materials and components, optimizing pricing and delivery terms, securing business through supplier agreements, and implementing dual-sourcing strategies. In this role, you will primarily support commercial vehicle products across North America, working closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to improve cost competitiveness, ensure supply continuity, and support new product development. The preferred work locations are Múzquiz or Piedras Negras, Mexico . Hybrid or remote work arrangements may also be considered. About the Job:
- Initiate and lead cross-functional teams in value-added and value-engineering projects for currently purchased products.
- Track projects systematically, ensure timely delivery of project milestones, proactively assess and mitigate supply risks, and evaluate and recommend the most suitable suppliers for different projects.
- Develop a strong understanding of purchased products' cost structures and manufacturing processes to negotiate based on cost breakdowns and support the Engineering team in developing optimized products.
- Strengthen collaboration with strategic suppliers to identify opportunities for business growth and expansion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on supply chain-related topics to ensure supply continuity and operational stability.
- Analyze key performance indicators, prepare management reports, and develop strategies for implementing new projects.
- Execute the purchasing of products and services in accordance with established procedures and instructions.
