The Role: Our site in Decatur, Texas is seeking a Machining Supervisor to join our team. This role will plan and direct daily activity of employee and equipment in machining operations. Coordinate with other departments to assure timely and accurate completion of orders. Safely and efficiently ensure customers expectations are met in regards to quality and on time delivery.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide manufacturing leadership to the production team
• Promote a safety culture through daily conversation and resolve employee safety concerns
• Use lean principles to ensure efficient product flow and work with the team to implement continuous improvement ideas
• Coordinate with cross functional teams to support production
• Hold production leads accountable to goals and improvement plans while developing their leadership and coaching skills
• Organize staff to maximize efficiency (ie. Safety, Quality, On Time Shipping, Cycle-time and Gross Margin) meeting or exceeding department goal
• Establish or adjust work schedules to meet production expectations
• Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
• Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist/coach employees in solving work problems and proactively addresses issues with employee with supportive documentation
• Maintain time and production records
• Ensure employees are trained on procedures relating to safety, product, and quality
