Serve as the primary technical bridge between AMD and ODM/OEM partners in Shenzhen, scouting next-gen subsystem and firmware technologies before they reach product.
THE ROLE AMD is seeking a senior system technical leader, provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise to our growing team. As a key contributor, you will have a strong technical background to contribute to all aspects of the innovative system with partners. Based in Shenzhen, this role bridges AMD system design teams with ODM/OEM partners and component suppliers. The core focus is to surfacing external technology trends back to the internal team. A key expectation is to identify and evaluate innovation solutions for next-generation products, keeping AMD ahead on subsystem technologies.
THE PERSON A system engineer with a solid grasp of PC/laptop subsystems — from motherboard-side controller/PHY to external components to whole-machine integration — with strong platform-firmware depth in power, thermal, battery, and low-power architecture . You understand the full picture well enough to have confident technical conversations with both AMD internal teams and ODM/OEM engineers. You have a strong sense of where subsystem and firmware technology is heading, and can evaluate new solutions early. You are highly motivated, a strong communicator, and very good at collaboration.
